I read the Periodic table many many years ago and loved Perfume. Keen to hear your thoughts on the Ukrainian books. And always happy to see another Astley on your list :-)
Cheers!
Beachmasters….it took me a long time to find this paperback!
Just 3 more novels to go…then I’ve read all 15 on Ashley’s books!
Thanks for taking part Nancy – perfume is one of my all time favourites!
I look forward to this challenge every year!
This looks like a great list and some very nice covers. The only one I have read is Mildred Pierce, and it was very good.
Tracy, I am glad I still have books (real paperbacks) still on the bookshelf!
I hope to buy more of them instead of e-books this year.
The Mildred Pierce one…has come all the way from Connecticut to Netherlands with me years ago! I have a few more paperbacks that were plucked from the home library as I packed my bags….those books hold many memories. “Forever Amber” (vol1 + 2)….took those and my sister never noticed!

The Periodic Table is very worthwhile reading. It is a little similar in its chemistry to Uncle Tungsten by Oliver Sacks. The biography of Stephan Zweig is on my list as well.
Glad you liked my selections!
Nice list! I’ve only read The Bostonians from it. Enjoy reading them! I haven’t made my list yet as it will start with the start of my TBR and I’m not sure what I’ll take off it before then …
Thanks for stopping by…good luck with your list!
