Well, I have no choice…at midnight there are fireworks going off all through the neighborhood…and some die-hards keep going until 0300 AM. So I have a few movies ready with noise cancelling headphones on…until the noise stops. Cats are coming upstairs tonight…they are so stressed out from all the noise. Have a great evening!

Strange day….year is ending and I’m stilll not sure what to read in 2024…

I need a glass of prosecco this afternoon around 2 pm (midnight Australia) to really think about the reading future. Hope your fireworks in on Sydney Harbor are ” époustuflantes”, breathtaking!

The fireworks were indeed époustuflantes, even from behind (our suburb is on the western side of the bridge). After the heat of early/mid Dec, we had a deliciously, almsot cool night.
Maybe 2024 is your year sans reading plans – a go with the flow year?
Who knows…will see how I feel today.
Happy New Year Nancy. I wanted to suggest Nevil Schute as an author for 2024. My neighbors ( bless them) just gifted me a dozen novels by this fellow. So at least for a month or so no worries about being booklets…
