What a great amount of spooky reading Nancy, I’m sure you are ready for something a bit lighter now!
Oh, yes,..definitley something light today! Any viewing recommendations on Netflix…feel like that kind of day!
I understand the saturation point, that’s a lot of spooky for 1 month! well done though
Thank you!
Congrats! You crammed a lot into a spooky September!
My method, my modus operandi…
…make a list at the beginning of the month and try to stick to it
…with minimal adjustments!
So many people love this RIP event! I’m a completely spooky-free person, so I can’t take any pleasure in anything the tiniest bit scary. I do find a way to enjoy the magic of Halloween, though.
A great read with a low level of spookiness is…The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, short story by Washington Irving, first published in 1819-20. Follow up with The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow Disney Movie. Great “Halloween” feeling movie!
That’s a really good list of classics from the dawn of horror writing, along with some modern classics.
The “horror” classics were some of the best reads. Henry James didn’t make my ‘best’ list because of his writing style…too many asides and clauses he uses to create these massive run on sentences. Thanks for your comment !
You did great for RIPXX! So far my books have all been duds. lol Maybe I’ll have better luck in October.
I found the classic horror writers (H. James, Sheridan K. Le Fanu, H. Walpole and E.A. Poe […amazing Netflix mini series], R.L. Stevenson…the best!
