#Non-fiction How Fascism Works

by NancyElin

  • Starting out slowly…..short reviews.
  • No time to waste on long analysis
  • …just giving you my ‘gut’ reaction to the book.

Conclusion:

  1. This was the first audio book I listened to
  2. …and wanted to listen to it again, immediately!
  3. The narrator has a soothing yet compelling voice
  4. and the narrative, well,
  5. …just lean back and let the words  sink in.
  6. Remember what the USA went through the last four years
  7. …and start to connect the dots!
  8. #EducateYourself
  9. ….before it is too late!

Excellent book and Jason Stanley weaves Trump’s policies into the text. Some times..a jaw dropping obvious fascist agenda. I am starting Hannah Arendt’s book (1972) The Origins of Totalitarianism. Perfect reading accompanied by a of week impeachment trial!

I know what you mean! I saw that pointed out so clearly in Masha Gessen’s Surviving Autocracy last year — an excellent one if you’re not burned out on the topic yet.

    Sounds like an educational book.

How is your weather doing now?

We are in this deep freeze until about 23 February. I had to shovel a snow drift from my front door to get outside.
