Nice list! I’ve read Dionne Brand, but only earlier things. I’ll be curious to see what you think.

Curious about “The Blue Clerk” as well. The layout of the book is quirky to say the least. I choose all 18 books in paperback or hardcover….so long to have a book in my hands again instead of digital. I plan to have a look at your list this afternoon.

Cleo, thanks for stopping by! I finally have my reading mojo back…and will probably read more than 20 books this summer. Have you posted your list yet?

      • Yes, I’ve posted my list. I do hope you get lots of reading accomplished. I’m fitting it in between work and responsibilities. But at least I’m reading. Glad to hear you’re healthy and happy!

I think you may have more Aussies on your list than I have on mine!
I hope your Thea Astley love affair continues :-)

I love Aussie Authors….I hope I can link my short reviews to #AusReadingMonth21 ….if that is permitted, along with any new books in November.
Beachmasters…by Ms Astley, I can’t buy it anywhere. If you know somebody who has a copy on the bookshelf..I’d pay postage to have it sent to me!

Nancy, very intriguing and ambitious list, as usual. The Philip Roth biography should be good. I will be interested in what you think of the John Hersey book. I was just reading an essay about a book by Knut Hamsun last night (Pan). I had not known about that author before.

I am happy that you plan to read those books from my list also. You are doing really well already on your list of 20 books.
