I haven’t read him, but I sent the complete volume if Septology to my brother earlier this year, recognising it as something of a masterpiece, though not one I plan on reading any time soon.
These essays are just wonderful….and so different from his masterpiece Septology. I read vol I-III and it was so exhausting, pages and pages of streaming consciousness. Absolutely brilliant to write like that but I’m going to have to wait for a while until I read the rest of the triology.
Another review from 2017 was “Suzannah” a play by Fosse. Take the time to read this one act play. 68 pages….you will be amazed.

You have so much luck picking Miles Franklin Awards….now I finally have some luck too! I still cannot remember why I read Fosse (play, essays) in 2017. I still have his book “Triolgy” on my bookcase. Another short book and, thank goodness, not streaming consciousness!
